CALIFORNIA CITY (KRON) -- Four Oakland teenagers are dead and one seriously injured after a SUV they were riding in crashed into a highway center divider and rolled-over in Kern County on Monday, family members said.

Dead at the scene were George Moa, Malia Moa, David Moa and Rachel Fisiiai.

KRON 4's Haaziq Madyun spoke to grieving family members as they prepared a memorial at Castlemont High School where two of the killed students attended and the injured survivor currently attends.

Students have created a photo memorial honoring the students and are practicing a ceremonial dance that will be performed at a vigil Thursday at 12:45 p.m. at the Oakland school.

The deceased students were cousins who enjoyed playing rugby together, a family spokesperson said.

The surviving student was not identified and is being treated at a local hospital.

The students were returning home after watching a rugby tournament in Las Vegas when the accident occurred on westbound Highway 58 near California City.

A public memorial for the students will be held on Friday at sundown on the corner of 83rd and D St. in Oakland.
